ACP COUNSEL JEFFREY SMITH AMONG SPEAKERS AT EPIC
CRYPTOGRAPHY AND PRIVACY CONFERENCE
Jeffrey Smith, Counsel to Americans for Computer Privacy, a broad-based coalition of more than 90 companies and 40 associations supporting policies that advance the rights of American citizens to encode information without fear of government intrusion‹and advocating the lifting of export restrictions on U.S.-made encryption products. Smith will participate in a session entitled U.S. Encryption Policy: What Next? Joining him will be Robert Litt, Principal Assistant Attorney General; William Reinsch, Under Secretary of Commerce for Export Administration; David Peyton of the National Association of Manufacturers and Marc Rotenberg, EPIC. Other conference participants include Keynote Speaker, Senator John Ashcroft (R-MO).
1998 EPIC Cryptography and Privacy Conference, bringing together technical experts, industry leaders, litigators and policy makers who are shaping the global debate over encryption and privacy.
